Dianthus caryophyllus Grenadin. Perennial herbaceous plant, which is mainly cultivated as a two-year-old, due to intensive flowering in the second year. The bush is strongly branched, 60-70 cm high. Flowers are large, terry, five different flowers. Unpretentiousness, cold resistance, fine aroma and the ability to maintain an attractive appearance in a vase for a long time make this series of cloves very popular among flower growers. Sowing is carried out in late March - early April in cold greenhouses or open ridges at a depth of 0.5-1 m. Seedlings appear in 6-8 days. Picking up is carried out in a phase of 2-3 real leaves on the scheme 6x6. On a permanent place plants are planted in August at a distance of 20-30 cm from each other. In the first year, the clove forms only a rosette of leaves. It is recommended that young plants be covered for winter. It is used for cutting, decorating beds, slaves.
