Matthiola incana Excelsior. Annual plant with grassy or woody stem, 70 cm high. Blossoms in June-September. Terry flowers, with a delicate fragrance, are collected in a cyst-shaped inflorescences. Grow better sprouts and direct sowing in the open ground. Seedlings are held in March. Seedlings are planted on beds in mid-May at a distance of 30 cm. Prefer well lit areas with loose, fertilized soil. Seeds are sown in the open ground at the end of April-beginning of May with subsequent thinning of sprouts. It is used for mixborders and group planting. For slicing they use inflorescences opened on 2/3 brushes. In water they stand up to 10 days.
