Statice Kermek Yellow Herb Seeds Perennial, Limonium, Beauty In Nature
Perennial plant with a height of 40-50cm. Numerous small flowers of yellow color, located on one side of the turned spiky inflorescences. It grows by sowing seeds in the open air in May, or for seedlings in March-April. Flowering period lasts from July to frost. It is used for designing slaves, mixboards, and also for cutting and making dry bouquets. Cutting to a dry bouquet is carried out when the maximum number of flowers in the inflorescence is blossoming.
Sowing statice for seedlings
Before sowing seedlings, kermek seeds enclosed in a dense shell should be scarified : walk along their noses with sandpaper or a rough file, after which they should be kept for several hours in Epin's solution or kept for 2-3 days in wet sawdust.
They sow seedlings for seedlings in February or early March, placing one seed in humus or peat moss pots with a moist, loose sterile substrate. Sprinkle seeds on top with a thin layer of soil, cover the crops with glass and contain at a temperature of 16-21 ºC. Under such conditions, seedlings may appear within 10-18 days. If you are in a hurry, use the bottom heating system, and then the seeds will sprout earlier.
When to plant statice in the ground
Choose a sunny area for the plant, since the shadow is destructive for it. The site may be open and unprotected from the wind, which the plant is not afraid of. Soil is preferable to well-drained, loamy or sandy, neutral or slightly alkaline reaction, although by and large any soil is suitable for kermek. Seedlings are planted in the garden not earlier than June, since in May there may still be freezing frosts.
